Insights on Bioenergetic Testing and Health Coaching
Hey, how are you? I’ve been over here eating too much chocolate and trying to navigate my way through this data-saturated world we’re living in. There are so many options, so much information, and it can be hard to know where to focus.
Where does your daily tension reside in your body? Mine goes to my right shoulder area. Most people have one area that reflects a default protective posture, or an area that signals too much typing or tapping on devices.
Welcome to mud season! Spring is arriving, the bright yellow forsythia is starting to appear, and adventure is in the air. The spring equinox is my personal green light to go. How about you?
Whether or not you feel it, your body knows it’s time for spring cleaning. You already know that I’m not a fan of intense detoxes. I like simple things that you can incorporate into your regular life. Here are some of my favorites. Pick a few and try them out. This is not meant to be a checklist, but rather an invitation of options.
I’ve talked with several people in health crisis recently, and those conversations are not fun. They’re desperate and willing to try anything to avoid a health catastrophe.
There’s one comment that would send my sister and me into bursts of laughter. People told us, “You look like twins!” We thought it was hilarious. My sister is one year younger, and we did not think that we looked anything alike. She has blond, curly hair (now natural white) and blue eyes, and I was a brunette with hazel eyes. I read books in my favorite tree, and my sister was singing and dancing at play practice.
This might sound obvious, but I thought that you should know this. You are not a car.
I know you’re thinking, “Well, of course I’m not a car! Nor am I a plane or a train or bus!” You are pretty clever, so maybe you’ve got this, and you really do know that you’re not a car.
But most people don’t. They think they are cars, maybe a small sedan, or full-size SUV, or perhaps a fast sports car.
Who’s on your health team? We’ve all got a support team made up of family, friends, and professionals. Since you’re in charge, on the expedition of a lifetime (literally!), how would you rate the professionals on your team?
The best guides don't try to take over your expedition or insist there's only one route to the summit. They listen when you describe what you're experiencing along the trail.
“What’s underneath? I need to know!” I’d been covering something up for years, not wanting to face reality. For nearly 25 years, I ignored an inherent part of who I am, and now today, it’s one of my more distinctive attributes.
Is there something in your health that you’re covering up, something that you don’t want to face? Maybe, like me, there’s societal pressure to cover up and not show reality.
I joined an amazing women’s networking group here in Buffalo called WINC, which stands for Women Inspired through Networking and Collaboration. One of the questions in the member profile setup is the question, “What’s something that most people don’t know about you?”
Going through the stacks at the library, searching for the right leather-bound volume of Encyclopedia Brittanica, I pulled out the one that held the promise of solving my 6th grade report-writing angst. I flipped through the smooth pages with tiny type, looking at the poor entries that had only a paragraph, and the lucky others that extended to a page or more. I held my breath, waiting to see if my report topic would feature a short entry or a long entry. If it was long, then it probably contained all that I needed for my report. A short entry meant that I was doomed. It meant that the authoritative source of information, the Encyclopedia Brittanica, did not think it was important, and I’d have to look for answers somewhere else.
You might be wondering, “How do I know if what you’re calling ‘innate intelligence’ is real?” I get it – it’s helpful to feel it and experience it yourself. After all, if I’m suggesting that amazing health can be achieved by working with your innate intelligence, you probably want to know more about this hidden superpower.
You’ve got a secret superpower – yes, really! Well, besides your stellar sense of style, because no one can top that. ? Your superpower is your innate wisdom. Think of it like having a brilliant inner genius that's always working behind the scenes to keep you feeling amazing.
A big question that often comes up is this: Is bioenergetic testing accurate?
In my work as a bioenergetic testing practitioner, through the results of my clients, I can say absolutely, yes - bioenergetic testing is accurate. Let’s go into this in more detail.
Be honest with me – did the idea of doing a detox cross your mind in the last few weeks? While detoxing may be a popular trend, it’s not just for special occasions. It also doesn’t require jars of supplements.
Your body detoxes every day. If you learn to support this natural process year-round, you’ll make great strides in your health.
Are you ready to break free from resolution season? Here are the missing pieces to acheive your health goals.
As we settle into January, there's a beautiful energy in the air - a collective breath of possibility that inspires fresh starts and renewed commitments.
Confession time. At one point, I actually believed that eating six small meals each day was the way to go. If not that, then three solid meals and two snacks. Often, dessert too! I loved the label that I found, calling myself a ‘grazer,’ and eating all day long.
