Something you don't know about me

I joined an amazing women’s networking group here in Buffalo called WINC, which stands for Women Inspired through Networking and Collaboration. One of the questions in the member profile setup is the question, “What’s something that most people don’t know about you?”
Gosh, what a fun question! You know that I’m a licensed mechanical engineer and an energy healer, so that’s out. What about my new-found excitement over pickleball? I drove in the snow this morning to play, but sports might be a big yawn to you. In the end, I went with chocolate, because you can’t go wrong with chocolate.
When it comes to things that most people don’t know, bioenergetic testing is fairly high on the list. Even though it’s been around for over 100 years, it’s just starting to come into popularity.
Bioenergetics isn’t the only type of energy medicine. Here’s a few that are more commonly known. I’ve used all of these techniques myself, and they are all beneficial. I like having many tools in my toolbox, and these modalities that honor your body’s natural healing capacity can help you through physical and emotional health issues. Note that there are others, too. We’ll save the Encyclopedia Brittanica entry for another time.
-
Reiki – This gentle yet powerful technique of Japanese lineage promotes healing through the practitioner's hands, which channel universal life energy. I am a Reiki Master-Teacher, and I use remote energy healing during the trapped emotion release portion of bioenergetic testing. You might experience:
- Deep relaxation as energy flows through specific hand positions
- Release of emotional and physical tension
- Enhanced sense of peace and wellbeing
- Support for your body's natural healing abilities
-
Acupuncture – This ancient Chinese medicine practice works with your body's meridian system through the precise placement of thin needles. You might experience:
- Balanced energy flow through major meridian pathways
- Relief from physical discomfort and emotional stress
- Enhanced organ system function
- Improved overall vitality and resilience
-
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) – Also known as "tapping," this approach combines gentle tapping on meridian points with emotional processing. You can learn to do this yourself, which makes it very accessible. You might experience:
- Release of emotional blocks affecting physical health
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Enhanced emotional regulation
- Greater mind-body connection
While these energy medicine techniques offer valuable benefits, bioenergetic testing provides a distinctive advantage through its precise, personalized assessment capabilities. Here's how it compares:
- Unlike other modalities that work with general energy patterns, bioenergetic testing offers detailed insights into your unique anatomy and emotional landscape.
-
Where other modalities might focus on specific aspects of your health, bioenergetic testing is comprehensive. My testing is customized and thorough, creating a complete picture, which includes:
- Nutritional needs
- Emotional and mental support
- Environmental influences
- Organ system function
- Supplement testing
- And more!
- Bioenergetic testing can be done remotely, as can Reiki.
- Besides identifying the areas needing support, bioenergetic testing also finds your unique balancing remedies to help your body integrate the healing benefits. These personalized remedies are imprinted into drops and patches for you.
Any form of energy medicine uses your own innate intelligence, your superpower, to work with your body on your health journey. It’s an energetic approach as opposed to a chemical approach.
If I ask you, “What’s something that most people don’t know about you?” you have a lifetime of interesting stories! The same applies to your health.
For amazing health, work with your body and your own natural wisdom.
