Why Healing Takes Time (And What Happens If You Rush It)

by Beth Mielbrecht | Sep 5, 2026

"Patience is a virtue." That was the first sentence I ever printed.

My Dad and I spent an entire afternoon trying to connect our first computer to a printer, sometime in the mid-1980s. There was no plug-and-play back then. Just cables, guesswork, and my Dad's steady persistence while I hovered nearby, offering suggestions and wanting it to just work already.

After hours and hours, it did. And the sentence he chose to print, the one that came out after all that effort, was "Patience is a virtue." It's still a joke between us, all these years later.

I laugh about it because patience has never come naturally to me. I want things fast. Most days, I'm somewhere in the middle of forward motion, already leaping toward the next thing. Patience is a practice I return to, again and again, not a trait I was born with.

Healing asks for that same practice.

Why Years of Imbalance Don't Unwind in One Month

If your body has carried an imbalance for years, or decades, one month of support won't undo it. Your body built those layers slowly, one adaptation at a time, so it could keep functioning through whatever you were carrying.

There are layers underneath layers. Your body built those layers slowly, one adaptation at a time, so that it could keep functioning. Unwinding them takes time too.

With the Precision Healing Method, your body isn't pushed into crisis to get there. The method works with your body so that you heal gently, going at the pace your body asks for, addressing both physical and emotional aspects.

What Happens When You Push Detox Too Fast

Being gentle and going at your own pace is so important.

If you force too much to release at once, then your blood, your lymph, and elimination organs get flooded with more toxins than you can deal with.

Your body needs to be prepared; otherwise, you’ll get overwhelmed by it.

Let Your Body Set the Pace

Are you the kind of person who wants healing to move fast? You're not alone. Almost every woman I work with starts there. But the ones who see real, lasting change are the ones who let their body set the pace, instead of forcing a timeline.

What's something related to your health that you have a hard time being patient with? Reply and tell me. I read every response.
