Tired Eyes Solution

Every year, I take a long weekend with close friends. We pick a warm location, explore a new town, and spend three days talking, catching up, and truly connecting.

After three days away from screens, I noticed how much lighter my eyes felt. No strain. No tension. Just ease.

That awareness led me to reassess how I care for my eyes during screen-heavy work periods.

Your Eyes Need Daily Support

If you spend hours at a computer like I do, your eyes are working hard. Most people wait until their eyes hurt before they do anything. I prefer prevention over rescue.

Here are three simple practices I use to support my eyes:

Palming

Cup your hands over your closed eyes without pressing. Rest your elbows on a table. Sit like this for 2-3 minutes. The warmth and darkness give your eyes a reset. I do this after few hours of computer focus time.

Swinging

Stand with feet shoulder-width apart. Gently swing your upper body side to side, letting your eyes follow the movement naturally. This relaxes the eye muscles and breaks the fixed focus pattern that screens create. This is a part of my early morning warmup routine, and I’m adding it into my evening routine too.

Sunning

Close your eyes and face the sun for 20-30 seconds. The light stimulates your eyes' natural healing response. Move your head gently side to side while your eyes are closed. This works even on cloudy days. You’ll find me doing this all the time: while walking our dog in the morning, catching the sun during the brilliant lunch time warmth, and capturing the glow of the setting sun.

Beyond These Basics

These practices help with immediate relief by relaxing your eyes. LED lights and computer screens add another layer of strain. When your eyes stay locked at one focal distance for hours, the muscles forget how to adjust. Sometimes you need more than simply looking away and microbreaks.

If you're experiencing persistent eye issues like floaters or changes in vision, your eyes might be signaling deeper imbalances.

Bioenergetics can identify what your body needs for optimal eye health. Eyes are connected to liver function, circulation, and nutrient absorption. Testing reveals the precise support your eyes are asking for.
