Every spring, the detox content starts.
Green juice. Liver flushes. 10-day resets. The advice is everywhere and most of it is well-intentioned.
Here is what it gets wrong.
A detox is only as effective as the drainage pathways supporting it. When you push toxins out of storage without making sure the exit routes are open, they don't leave. They recirculate. You feel worse instead of better and assume that's just what detox feels like.
It isn't.
Think about a clogged kitchen sink. Running more water doesn't help. The drain has to be open first.
If the drains are blocked, healing's stopped.
Your body has its own drainage system. The liver. The lymph. The kidneys. The gut. All of them need to be open and moving before you ask your body to release more. And underneath all of it, the foundation has to be solid. Sleep. Real food. Daily elimination. Physical and emotional.
Without these, everything else you are doing is filling a bucket with holes in it. The supplements. The protocols. The effort. It goes in. It drains out. Not because what you're doing is wrong. Because the foundation isn't holding it yet.
No protocol can overcome a poor foundation.
One of my clients came to me after a rough detox experience. She had done everything the protocol said. She felt terrible for weeks afterward and assumed that was normal. Bioenergetic testing showed her drainage pathways were congested before she even started. We addressed the foundation first. Within weeks she told me she felt lighter than she had in years, not just physically.
That is what happens when the sequence is right.
Your body wants to heal. Ask, listen, and take action.
